Dear Volunteers,

The time is quickly approaching for the Aspen Good Life Festival during which Aspen Center for Integral Health will host The 7th Annual Summer Health Symposium and 3rd Annual Healthy Gourmet Fest and Spa Soirée!!  This year the events will be held Thursday July 26th, 2007 at the Paepcke Auditorium, and Friday July 27th, 2007 at the home of Glenda and Gerald Greenwald on Red Mountain.  We are very excited for the festival and are looking for a team of volunteers to help us orchestrate the events so that they run better than ever!

Many of you have been involved in volunteering with our organization in the past for Summer Health Symposiums or James Bond Galas.  These events could not take place with out you and we want to thank you again for your valued help. 

Below is a schedule of events for the Summer Health Symposium and Spa Soiree events where we need lots of volunteer help.   Please visit acih.org or give us a call for more information on the entire event. The schedule is followed by a list of volunteer positions needed.  Please look over the following information and contact us if any of these positions match your schedule and interests. Of course, if you would rather just attend and enjoy the event, please contact us as well.  Nothing is set in stone, so we ask for your flexibility in requesting volunteer positions, and we will do our best to accommodate everyone. All of the volunteer jobs listed give an excellent opportunity to attend a significant portion of the events.

Volunteer Job Descriptions

Summer Health Symposium- Thursday, July 26th 2007 - 7:30am-5:00pm

Held at the Paepcke Auditorium

 

  • Set Up
    • Wednesday, July 25th: 7:00pm-9:00pm HELP NEEDED
    • 2 Volunteers needed
    • Help to move supplies from ACIH office to Paepcke Auditorium where we need to set up banners, signage, and coffee tables.
    • For the all-star volunteer who wants to put in that extra effort the day before the event!!

 

  • Parking Directors
    • Thursday, July 26th 2007- 7:30am-9: 30am; 11:30am-2:00pm HELP NEEDED
    • 4 Volunteers needed
    • Help direct and park cars in designated parking lots as guests arrive for the lecture sessions.
    • These volunteers will have plenty of time to enjoy the lectures between parking shifts.

 

  • Symposium Registration
    • Thursday, July 26th 2007- 7:30am-9: 15am, one person 7:30-11:50am
    • 5 Volunteers needed
    • Register guests for the lecture as they arrive and pass out programs and badges.
    • A quick and easy morning shift. These volunteers could also help with questions and answers later in the day!

 

  • Hospitality/ Gift Bags/VIP Lunch
    • Thursday, July 26th 2007- 8:00am-10:15am; 11:15am- 2:00pm
    • 3 Volunteers needed
    • Greeting and Seating VIP Patrons for morning and afternoon lectures; Stuffing and Delivering Gift Bags for VIP Lunch; Directing Patrons to the Luncheon.
    • Great job for someone who wants to attend the lectures and the Patron Lunch.

 

  • Security
    • Thursday, July 26th 2007- 8:00am-11:30am; 1:15pm-4:15pm
    • 4 Volunteers needed
    • Door Security for the Lectures: checking badges and/or wristbands on patrons as they enter the lecture hall, and collecting questionnaires after the lectures are finished.
    • These volunteers will attend all of the lectures in the main auditorium.

 

  • Question and Answers:
    • Thursday, July 26th 2007- 9:00am-11:30am; 1:30pm-3:30pm
    • 2 Volunteers needed
    • They will help collect question cards for the Q&A session at the end of each lecture.
  • Breakdown
    • Thursday, July 26th 2007- 3:45 till done
    • A couple of volunteers are needed to help with clean up after the event.
    • A few hands go a long way towards a quick and easy cleanup!  Any help we can get at the end of the day is greatly appreciated!

 

Healthy Gourmet Spa Soirée- Friday July 27th, 2007- 2:00pm- 10:00pm

Held at the home of Glenda and Gerald Greenwald

 

  • Spa Soirée Pre Event Set Up  HELP NEEDED
    • Volunteers needed to help set up the Greenwald House and Tent for the Spa Soirée
    • Wednesday, July 25th, 2007- 2:00pm-4:00pm
    • 2 Volunteers needed
    • Friday, July 27th 2007, 9:00am-3:00am
    • 4 Volunteers needed
  • Spa Soirée Gift Bag Stuffing  HELP NEEDED
  •        Friday, July 27th 2007, 2:00pm-4:00pm
  •        6 Volunteers needed
  •        Help stuff gift bags for the Spa Soirée event

 

  • Silent Auction Pre-event Set Up and Event Oversight  HELP NEEDED
    • Friday, July 27th 2007- 3:00pm-5:00pm and 6:30pm-10:15pm
    • 2 Volunteers needed
    • These volunteers will help set up the silent auction before the event then take turns helping to oversee the silent auction during the Spa Soiree. At the end of the evening they will close the auction and checkout auction items.
  • Station Coordinators Pre-event Set Up and Event Oversight
    • Friday, July 27th 2007- 2:00pm-5:00pm and 6:30pm- 9:00pm
    • 6 Volunteers needed
    • Each Volunteer will be given two stations to help set up and oversee during the event

     

  • Registration
    • Friday, July 27th 2007- 5:15pm- 8:00pm
    • 6 Volunteers needed
    • Help with guest registration as people arrive at the soiree.

 

  • Bathrobes and Clean up
    • Friday, July 27th 2007- 9:00pm-end
    • Everyone Helps
    • These volunteers will help pass out bathrobes in the appropriate sizes to guests as they arrive. They will then help to hand out gift bags to guests as they leave the event and help clean up.
